Reverence Festival is a small but beautiful underground rock festival held in southern central Portugal on the banks of the River Tejo. This is the fourth edition and this year will be held in Ribeira de Santarem over the weekend of Friday 8th and Saturday 9th September. There is free camping in the forested area next to the fluvial beach, with food and a bar, djing and bands playing on the beach. The festival begins each day at 4pm and ends at 4am and will feature some 50 live bands and djs...
Reverence Festival is held at Parque da Ribeira de Santarem in Santarem, Central Portugal. Ribeira de Santarem is a small town adjacent to the main line station at Santarem in the district of Santarem, approximately 60km inland from Lisbon. The festival site is park under the Ponte Dom Luis bridge on the banks of the River Tejo, that includes a fluvial beach with an adjacent forested camping site.
Ribeira de Santarem is located adjacent to the station at Santarem about 4kms from the town centre at Santarem. The festival site is a five minute walk from the station which is served by nearly all trains from Lisbon and Porto, including Regional, Intercidade and Alpha.
At Lisbon airport there are multiple car hire options. It is also very easy to get to Santarem by taking a train from Santa Apolonia or Oriente stations in Lisbon - Oriente is four stops on the Metro from the Airport. The train takes around an hour depending which service you use, but make sure you purchase a ticket before getting on the train. Reverence ticket holders can obtain a 30% discount on train travel to the festival when buying your train tickets at the station ticket offices.

There is a forested camping area at Ribeira de Santarem adjacent to the festival site. The camping area is shaded by trees and has toilets, communal showers and a fluvial beach. If you prefer a bit of comfort we have Sleep'Em'All at Reverence providing a luxury camping area with various types of tents and tee-pees, private toilets and showers.
